Did Menchie start working at 15? (Everything is known!)
Menchie’s is one of my favorite desserts when I have a sweet tooth. But at my local Menchie’s, there’s almost always just one or two young workers.
Makes me wonder if Menchie’s employs 15 and 16 year olds. This seemed like a great first job for a high school student, so I looked into it and here’s what I found…

What’s so bad about working at Menchie’s?
Well, unfortunately, all of the above reasons don’t apply when you’re working at a poorly managed Menchie’s store.
Employees remember the stress and anxiety they felt when their efforts were criticized, their ideas ignored, and their requests for flexible hours were turned down.
Others mentioned that working in a poorly managed environment can lead to fatigue and boredom, regardless of the workload.
If employee conflict is not handled properly, everyone is affected, which “results in the departure of those who would have stayed.” Staff also left because their stores were “understaffed and the pressure to ‘keep up’ became too much”.
All of these issues are clearly specific to a particular Menchie location, not a general Menchie company.
