Has the Starbucks Kiwi Refresher been recalled? (Discontinued wine list!)

Starbucks has of course had to recall or discontinue menu items before, however, there is a difference between a “recalled” product and a “discontinued” product. The reasons behind these problems also vary.

This article looks at the recent discontinuation of some Starbucks products, what that means, and why it happened.

Has the Starbucks Kiwi Refresher been recalled?

The Starbucks Kiwi Refresher has not been recalled, but has been discontinued. It wasn’t popular with Starbucks customers and was removed from the menu along with the Berry Hibiscus Refresher.

To learn more about discontinued or recalled Starbucks beverages, read on…

What is the difference between a product recall and discontinuation?

Menu items are recalled when for some reason determined to be harmful to public consumption.

The reasons for this will obviously vary, but the recall is either temporary (for a “lot” or order of something) or permanent (so that the item does not reappear for public consumption or use) .

Items are often discontinued for supply and/or shipping reasons. However, another reason could be Require Too low for specific items (like beverages) to be worth continuing.

What is the reason for the discontinuation of Starbucks beverages?

In the past, Starbucks has defended stopping offering beverage options in various ways.

    1. Sometimes supplies run out! This will happen during a very hot summer when demand for certain beverages is very high.
    2. Consumables damaged! This can happen before or at harvest, during storage and during transport.
    3. Shipping problem! This has been a troubling issue for many businesses, not just Starbucks.
    4. Demand does not exist! Sometimes, Starbucks launches a novelty drink, but it doesn’t catch on. The client will try it once (because it’s new), but won’t return again.
    5. Time to move on! Part of Starbucks’ appeal is their unusual, experimental drink mix.Keeping customers on their toes is part of their selling skills and they know a lot of people will try something just because it is new.

Which Starbucks drinks have been discontinued?

There are actually many discontinued Starbucks drinks, their Kiwi Refresher and Very Berry Hibiscus are just two of them.

The discontinuation of these two Starbucks favorites (as well as the Peach Green Tea Lemonade) has caused a lot of trouble lately, with fans expressing their disappointment on Twitter.

Starbucks responded by saying they were “pausing” those options in favor of other, more popular beverage varieties. They call these “higher demand products” and the less popular option “persistent inventory constraints.”

This means that while some places still sell Kiwi Refresher and Very Berry Hibiscus, it won’t be until they run out of stock.

No one really knows when this “pause” will end, but the company assured fans that the break is only temporary.

What is Starbucks’ recently discontinued beverage?

More recently, Starbucks decided to stop offering eggnog lattes, a popular staple that first appeared in 1986 and that customers look forward to as part of their regular Christmas festivities.

Fans weren’t too happy about it.Eggnog Latte is traditional.

However, Starbucks assures customers that they can “customize” an existing drink or even try another drink.

But the problem is, because Starbucks is exactly an experimental and novelty drink shop, once we find a favorite, we cannot Copy or replace it!

Regardless, Starbucks reps assured anxious fans that they have Keep going Move to more fun and innovative beverages like rock sugar cookie almond milk latte (dairy free), creme brulee latte, chestnut praline latte, all of which represent Christmas in some way.

Why are Starbucks Kiwi Refresher and Berry Hibiscus discontinued?

The short story behind the disappearance of these two summer updates is one of the welcome questions.

However, it has also been mentioned that Starbucks has experienced supply issues with beverage ingredients, which could also indicate a shipping issue.

Regardless of why They left, and Starbucks did assure fans that the disappearance was only temporary, so I guess we’ll have to wait and see.

What other discontinued Starbucks beverages are there?

Over the years, Starbucks has introduced a number of comical beverages, some of which may now be unknown.

Some of the more escaped menu deals are:

    • Strawberry Shortcake Frappuccino – Sweet, Pink, Cold
    • Mazagran – a bottled carbonated coffee
    • Unicorn Frappuccino – a very purple and pink and purple and pink cold drink
    • Tazo Tea Infusions – Black Chai Tea Juice Infusions
    • Zombie Frappuccino – a red, pink and green Halloween drink
    • Chile Mocha – a traditional mocha sprinkled with spices
    • Cherries Jubilee Latte – mocha mixed with cherry syrup, sprinkled with cocoa powder and a drizzle of cherry syrup
    • Chantico – Launched in 2005, Starbucks calls Chantico a “drinkable dessert” and is made with cocoa butter and whole milk.
    • Black Barrel Latte – This startling drink has a Guinness (stout) taste (but no alcohol) and clashes with its latte owner.
    • Apple Crumble Frappuccino – This one was so popular that it disappeared in 2012 for unknown reasons. A hot apple, caramel and spice added late!

Will Starbucks bring these drinks back?

Unfortunately, no one really knows. Starbucks makes statements from time to time and is always careful to avoid definitive news.

However, every year when Starbucks announces their latest addition to the holiday season, there’s usually a return of some old favorites on this list.

Some of the drinks returning this year include:

    • Peppermint Mocha
    • Irish Cream Cold Brew
    • Baked White Chocolate Mocha

Fans routinely go online to request the return of their favorite Starbucks beverages, and it’s certainly a way to let Starbucks know what you’re hoping to find on their next list.
