The convenience of Amazon Fresh is unrivaled, but it can be frustrating when your favorite groceries are out of stock.
If your go-to snack is sold out on Amazon Fresh, when can you restock? I’ve done some digging to find out exactly when Amazon Fresh is restocking.
When is Amazon Fresh Restocking?
Amazon Fresh typically fully restocks within 30 days. However, they keep receiving shipments and some items may be back on shelves within 2-3 days. If the item you want is sold out, you can set up an alert in your Amazon account and get notified as soon as the item is in stock. If you have placed an order, you will receive a refund for any out-of-stock items.

What happens when you order an out-of-stock item on Amazon Fresh?
If an item you ordered on Amazon Fresh was out of stock when they started preparing your delivery, you will automatically receive a refund for that item.
If the order is not automatically refunded, you can contact Amazon Customer Service at any time to request a refund.
Sometimes the item will be restocked very quickly and you will receive it on the next shipment. An Amazon support specialist will be able to help you decide whether to schedule a later delivery.
You can also set up notifications for items that are out of stock. Amazon Fresh will notify you via email once your item is available.
If it’s a popular product, you’ll be the first to know when it’s back and check out ASAP before it goes out of stock.
Does Amazon Fresh show out of stock items?
Amazon Fresh tries not to place out-of-stock items in search results to avoid confusion. However, if you want to see all items, you can select “Include Out of Stock” under the filter “Show Results”.
Here, you’ll see everything on Amazon Fresh, whether it’s in stock or not.
If you search for a specific item by brand name, Amazon Fresh will show you whether it’s in stock or not.
However, if you just search for “eggs,” Amazon Fresh will only show eggs that are available unless you refine and filter your search.
If you include a brand name and specify to display an “out of stock” item and the item does not appear, it simply means that Amazon Fresh doesn’t offer the item.
How do I get notifications about item restocking on Amazon Fresh?
When browsing the Amazon Fresh website, you’ll see a red “out of stock” notification next to some products instead of an “add to cart” button.
If you’d like to be notified when this item is back in stock, click the “Alert me” button to the right of the product details that says “Out of stock”.
When you click the “Remind Me” button, Amazon will set up an automatic email to send you when the product is back in stock.
This is the best way to deal with out-of-stock items and buy them as soon as they come back to the store.
Sometimes you won’t have the “Remind me” option. In this case, it could mean two things.
- Amazon Fresh does not plan to restock. In this case, you should consider finding the product elsewhere.
- This product or the Amazon Fresh store doesn’t offer it at all. An Amazon customer service assistant will be able to help you learn more about this.
Amazon Fresh allows customers to set up notifications for out-of-stock items.
If you ordered an out-of-stock item, Amazon will automatically refund you the amount for that item, but will still process the order for the remaining items.
