If you have something that needs to be shipped quickly, you’ll probably be looking everywhere for packing supplies: tape, scissors, and most importantly, a box. While scissors and tape might be easy, you may have some questions about the box.
More specifically, you may be wondering if you can use your own box when shipping with FedEx. This article will tell you what boxes you need to know when shipping with FedEx!
Can you ship FedEx with any box in 2022?

For FedEx Express service, packages can be up to 119 inches in length and 165 inches in length plus girth.
In addition to these requirements, FedEx mandates that cardboard boxes must be packed in corrugated outer boxes, such as gift or shoe boxes.
Also, heavier items should use a double-wall box, and small packages should be placed in a larger outer box.
Can I reuse a box to ship with FedEx?
It is a common misconception that a brand new cardboard box must be used for shipping.
But as long as a box is sturdy and in good condition, feel free to reuse it when you have something to ship.
One exception, though, is the FedEx One Rate box, which cannot be reused as these are used as shipping labels.
Which boxes can’t I use when shipping with FedEx?
FedEx will not accept boxes with holes, large creases or dents. Also, if the package suffers water or other damage, it will most likely be rejected.
Essentially, FedEx wants to make sure that the shipment arrives intact; therefore, the company only accepts boxes that can withstand the shipping process.

While FedEx has a fairly loose policy on acceptable packaging formats, there is one rule that must be followed.
That is, FedEx Express packaging can only be used for FedEx Express shipments, and any other use is prohibited.
