What is Uber Eats Pro? (all you must know)
When drivers sign up to deliver meals through Uber Eats, they promise flexibility in how they work.
One of the ways the company is incentivizing drivers to do more than they might have planned is through programs like Uber Eats Pro. We took a look at what Uber Eats Pro is, here’s everything you need to know!
What is Uber Eats Pro in 2022?
Uber Eats Pro is a rewards program for drivers, and by giving them points, they can earn different levels of perks in 2022. Uber Eats Pro tiers range from green to diamond with different benefits. Drivers can earn points on Uber Eats Pro because they maintain high levels of satisfaction and rarely cancel orders.
Read on to find out everything you need to know about Uber Eats Pro, including how it works, the benefits it offers, and more!
How does Uber Eats Pro work?
Uber Eats Pro works much like most other rewards or loyalty programs: the points you earn count toward the tier you’re in and determine the perks or perks you get.
In addition to the above points, drivers are also required to maintain a high satisfaction rate of at least 85% for customers and restaurants.
All the points you earn on Uber Eats Pro reset every month, so you’ll need to keep working to maintain your status.
This reset is done on a calendar month basis, which means you can earn points from the 1st of the month until the last day of the month before they disappear.
The points you earn determine your tier when you reset next month.
However, if you earn enough points to qualify for the next reward tier, you’ll immediately receive the benefits associated with it.
You can earn Uber Eats Pro points by:
- 1 point for each delivery successfully completed
- 2 points for each delivery done during lunch time between noon and 2pm
- Dinner time between 5pm and 9pm, 6 points per completed delivery
What’s the difference between Uber Eats Pass and Uber Eats Pro?
Uber Eats Pro differs from Uber Eats Pass, now called Uber One, in that the first is for drivers and the other is for customers.
Uber Eats Pass is a premium subscription service that costs $9.99 per month, while Uber Eats Pro is a rewards program that you can join at no cost.
Uber Eats Pass offers subscribers the same benefits (if available), but Uber Eats Pro offers drivers different benefits, depending on the driver’s tier and number of points.
What are the benefits of Uber Eats Pro?
Uber Eats Pro is still in beta, in beta, so the benefits available have been changing since its launch in 2019.
Benefits and perks also vary based on your location, so we recommend checking what’s available in your location via the driver’s app.
If you’re not yet registered as an Uber Eats driver, but you’re interested in the program’s benefits, you can contact a driver in your area.
If you don’t know anyone personally, you can ask questions on dedicated forums such as the Uber Eats driver’s Subreddit.
That said, one of the most notable benefits of Uber Eats Pro we’ve seen is 100% tuition coverage for ASU’s online courses, which we’ll discuss below.
Will Uber Eats pay for college?
If drivers and their families qualify through the Uber Eats Pro program, Uber Eats will pay for their college fees to study online at Arizona State University.
This benefit has been available since the program began and is available to drivers and their families.
It is only available to drivers who have achieved Gold, Platinum or Diamond status and have completed at least 1,000 deliveries.
As for family members eligible for benefits, the fine print states that the following are eligible:
- spouse
- Domestic partners
- children
- brothers and sisters
- Parents and legal guardians
- family
The program provides access to more than 100 of the university’s bachelor’s degrees and several other fully online courses.
Some of the bachelor’s degrees you can earn with Uber Eats and ASU are in the following fields:
- Accounting

Where is Uber Eats Pro available?
Uber Eats Pro is only available in a few cities in the US and Canada. As we’ve already established, Uber Eats Pro is still in beta, so it’s not yet widely released.
Uber Eats Pro initially launched in about 200 cities in the US, but has since been made available to drivers in a few locations in Canada.
Uber Eats hasn’t released an official list of cities being tested, so your best bet is to try signing up or ask a driver in your area.

in conclusion
Uber Eats Pro is a rewards program for drivers who use the service. It has 4 levels that you can level up by earning points.
Your points reset every calendar month, and the number you earn will determine your tier for the next month, but tier perks will be unlocked as soon as you earn enough points.
