Does Walmart deliver to PO Boxes?
A Post Office Box (PO Box) is often used as a means of receiving mail for individuals who live in areas where mail may not be delivered directly to their homes.
But if that’s the only way you get mail, you might be wondering if Walmart will deliver to PO Boxes. Here are my findings.
Does Walmart deliver to PO Boxes?
Unfortunately, Walmart does not ship any products to PO Box addresses in any state in the United States. Instead, customers can use USPS General Delivery to ship Walmart.com orders to their local post office, which is available for customers without a permanent address.

Why doesn’t Walmart ship to PO Box addresses?
Unlike Amazon, which develops its own merchandise delivery infrastructure, Walmart uses third-party delivery operators to provide Walmart deliveries.
The two main delivery providers that partner with Walmart to deliver Walmart merchandise for online orders on walmart.com and the Walmart Marketplace are FedEx and UPS (United Parcel Service).
Both FedEx and UPS’ shipping policies clearly state that they will only deliver to valid street addresses, not PO Box addresses.
UPS policy regarding shipping to PO Box addresses states that any package sent to a PO Box address is not covered by the UPS service guarantee and the address must be corrected.
Is there a way around this?
According to our research, it is not possible to forward orders placed from Walmart.com to a PO Box because many delivery companies do not support this feature.
However, one alternative you can try is to use the USPS general delivery service, which allows people without an address to send items to a local post office.
Also, another method you can try is to have your Walmart.com order shipped directly to your local post office by entering their address with the order.
To ensure the order reaches you, you can add your PO Box number as your apartment number during checkout at Walmart.
From what we’ve found, both FedEx and UPS delivery drivers have no problem shipping these types of products, but your post office may have a different policy.
How is a PO Box address different from a regular street address?
The U.S. address format for shipping to a PO Box address is similar to a standard U.S. address, but must include a PO Box number and be clearly identified below the recipient and business name (in the case of commercial mail delivery to a PO Box).
The street address is usually the residential address where the individual receives home mail. In contrast, PO Box addresses are often used as mailing addresses for businesses.
However, a PO Box mailing address for a business may be different from the physical address of the business and the actual physical location of the business.
Are there any restrictions on Walmart shipping to street addresses?
Yes, Walmart will only ship to the 50 US states (and certain overseas territories such as American Samoa and Puerto Rico, etc.) and will not ship abroad, not even Canada.
Shipping Walmart merchandise internationally should only be done by individuals who are willing to find an international forwarding company that can successfully forward Walmart merchandise packages to countries outside of the United States.
However, this must be done voluntarily by the individual and, as a company, Walmart will not be involved in reshipping Walmart merchandise abroad.

in conclusion
Walmart offers excellent, reliable shipping within the United States for online purchases at walmart.com and Walmart Marketplace.
However, Walmart does not ship to PO Box addresses. If you find this very annoying to you as a customer, we recommend that you look for an online store that uses USPS as a shipping carrier service. USPS will deliver to PO Box addresses and is a reputable and well-known delivery provider in the United States.
