Can I return clothing to Target after 90 days?
If the 90-day return period has passed, you can only exchange clothing if you have the original receipt and the item is in new condition with the tag still present.
You will not receive a refund for garments returned outside the 90-day return period.
Instead, you’ll get an item card worth the lowest price for that item in the last 90 days, which can only be used at Target stores, not online.
Can I return clothing without tags to Target?
You can indeed return untagged clothing to Target, as it has a very lenient return policy on untagged clothing.
If the item is unused and unworn, it can be returned if you can verify the purchase with the original receipt or original form of payment.
However, if the garment does show visible signs of wear, stains, or any damage, a Target manager may refuse a refund or exchange.
Can I return clothing to Target without a receipt?
Clothes may be returned to Target without a receipt if you can provide other proof of purchase.
If you made a purchase with a Target RedCard, Visa, Mastercard, AmEx, Discover, personal check or a Target Gift Card (which you must keep), Target can locate your order online. Unfortunately, cash purchases cannot be tracked this way.
Alternatively, you can access a digital barcode or receipt from your Target.com account to prove your purchase.
If you are unable to provide any proof of purchase, you will be issued a Merchandise Return Card for your refund. This is valid in-store at Target only and cannot be redeemed online at Target.com.
Can I return worn clothing to Target?
If an item is defective or damaged, you may return your worn garment to Target for a full refund or exchange.
However, if you’ve worn the item and changed your mind, you can still get a refund or exchange.

You can use any of the following as proof of purchase: a receipt, a barcode found in the Target app, a Target delivery or shipping confirmation email, or the original form of payment.
Apparel can also be mailed to the Target Online Returns Center through Target.com by going to your order history, selecting the return option and printing the return shipping label.
