Aldi Warranty (Coverage, Claims + Time Limits)
German grocery chain Aldi is poised to become the third-largest supermarket in the United States. With great popularity comes great responsibility and Aldi takes their commitment to customer service very seriously.
Shoppers who prefer Aldi Finds may not realize that many of the larger items, as well as electronics, tools, cookware and outdoor gear, come with a manufacturer’s warranty. What are those? Here’s the answer you’ve been looking for.
Aldi Warranty
Aldi’s product warranties are provided by the manufacturer of its merchandise and vary in length, but the most common are one to three years. The Aldi Warranty generally applies fully to repairs, replacement parts or replacement products at no cost to the customer.
But how does it work? Do you contact Aldi? How do you contact the manufacturer? Here are the answers to your questions, plus everything you need to know. This can save you a lot!
Do you have an Aldi warranty on your product?
You should start by understanding that Aldi has partnered with the manufacturer for almost all of their products.
From gardening tools to cereal and milk, Aldi sources goods elsewhere and puts its own brand on the packaging.
(If you were hoping for a Santa Claus-style Aldi factory making dog toys, cheese and patio furniture, sorry to disappoint you!)
If your item comes with a warranty, the information is included on the packaging and product brochure. If you can, take this and put it in a safe place.
However, if the packaging and accompanying documents have long been tossed in the trash, the easiest way to find out if your product is covered by a warranty is to check the Warranty and Manuals pages of the Aldi website.
(You don’t need to register anything or “activate” it; it just comes automatically with your purchase. So keep your receipts, or Aldi Finds in general, when you buy larger items.)
Just enter a query into the search bar – the Aldi brand + a one-word description of the item, for example, Ambiano toasters work well – and comb through the results until you find what you’re looking for. Results can be arranged chronologically or alphabetically.
If you don’t see the item listed, it doesn’t come with a warranty. However, all hope is not lost! I will address this further.
If you do find one, follow the link to the item you’re looking for, and down the fourth in the list, it says “Warranty” and gives the length of time.
How long is the warranty period for Aldi products?
This length of time varies by product, but the most common period is one to three years.
For most manufacturers, the warranty begins at the point of sale, which is why it’s crucial to keep your receipt as much as possible.
I even found an example of an Aldi product warranty from the manufacturer, Dometic, which states “This warranty is valid for three (3) years from the date of purchase by the original purchaser.”
So if you bought an Aldi product from someone second-hand, the warranty does not start over at the time of your purchase, and Even within a given time frame, the chances of you claiming warranty benefits without an original receipt are likely to be very low.
Who do you contact for the Aldi warranty?
Assuming you’re looking for warranties online through Aldi’s website, the contact information to apply for a warranty is on each product’s warranty page.
Now, this is where things get interesting, because in some cases, you can discover the actual manufacturer of a product this way. While the page doesn’t list the manufacturer’s name, some contact emails include it.
So, for example, a customer service email might appear as info@westfieldoutdoors.com. You can google Westfield Outdoors to find the company’s website and sometimes their warranty terms.
(Alternatively, it could just be the email address of a third-party customer service center, but don’t worry; they’re set up to handle customer service requests, so you should see a resolution to your problem!)
Now, if you don’t want to go on a scavenger hunt and just want to get your business in order, the authors of AldiReviewer.com recommend using the email address provided as a first resort.
It’s best to provide as many details as possible up front, including a description of the problem and even a photo of the item and a receipt showing the date of purchase. Include the item’s name and model number.
If you don’t hear back within a few days, please try calling the number. If that doesn’t work, another email may be needed. If that doesn’t work, you can contact Aldi to see if this doesn’t set the manufacturer on fire.
Unfortunately it can be a bit difficult at times to get a response, but remember this is largely outside of Aldi’s control. But if you really want a repair or replacement, hold on.
What does the Aldi product warranty cover?
Aldi’s product warranties vary from manufacturer to manufacturer, but based on written warranties and examples of people who have gone through the process, in general they cover replacement parts and sometimes entire products.
Written warranties are quick to point out what they don’t cover.
General manufacturer warranty statement from Westfield Outdoors (supplies outdoor gear to Aldi), they do not cover used item purchases (as I mentioned earlier), claims made because an item didn’t fit your space, or any replacement parts sent in.
The Dometic Warranty also states that warranty claims for out-of-the-box damage must be made within 10 days of the date of purchase.
Again, each manufacturer has its own set of guidelines, so it’s best to reach out through their contact information and speak to a representative.
What if your Aldi product is out of warranty?
If your item is damaged or does not meet your expectations, and you search and find that it does not come with the Aldi Product Warranty, this does not mean that you are limited to using the scrapped product.
Recent purchases – yes, even Aldi Finds – can be returned to an Aldi store at any time with a receipt, and in fact, any Aldi store can return or exchange an item.
Aldi finds non-food items that are not covered by their twice as good guarantee, but Aldi still has a generous return policy that will give you either, a refund or a replacement, as long as you have proof of purchase.
One of the benefits of Aldi’s own label items is that they will know you bought it at Aldi because no one else carries a brand like Ambiano or Crofton. Therefore, if you do not have a receipt, Aldi may still provide you with a store credit/gift card for your return.

in conclusion

Make sure to keep your receipt when you buy Aldi Finds so that should you need to make a warranty claim, you have all the evidence you need to have a smooth process.
