Along with everything else they sell, Walmart has a fully stocked in-store bakery that makes bread, cakes, and yes, dozens of types of cookies.
This bakery doesn’t come with instructions, so you might be wondering what they stock, whether they make it in-store, and how much you can expect to pay.

According to a Wal-Mart employee, Wal-Mart’s baked cookies are baked in-store.
However, they revealed that the dough arrived frozen before the cookies were baked.
Walmart claims more than half of their baked goods are made in-store, and their cookies seem to count towards that as well.
They’re not made from scratch in the store, but I imagine they’d be more expensive if they were!
What is the price of Walmart Bread Cookies?
Walmart has found every way to lower prices, including their extensive bakery selection.
At your typical Walmart supercenter, you can find cookies ranging from a bag of 3 for $1.00 to a tray of 32 for $10.
Items like a box of 12 typically sell for around $2, while larger plastic containers with specialty items like frosted sugar cookies and filled cookies sell for $4.98.
What I love about these low prices is that even with one tray of cookies, you can get enough candy to entertain an entire office or classroom without breaking the bank.
To further sweeten the deal, most Walmart stores, if not all, offer marked-down bread racks in-store.
On these sites, you can find deep discounts on all kinds of baked goods – including cookies – ranging from 20% to 70% for the day or days ahead.
Can you customize your Walmart cookie order?
I can’t find any information that confirms that Walmart will be customizing their prepackaged cookies in the bread department.
However, Walmart is known for its commitment to customer service and flexibility.
You can always ask if they will decorate store-bought cookies (for an additional fee).
The worst thing they can do is say no!
How Long Do Walmart Bread Cookies Last?
The StillTasty.com website recommends that a cookie, once opened, persists for approximately one month.
I think Walmart cookies stay fresh for about a week, but are still good after about two weeks.
After two weeks, I think the quality is starting to really deteriorate – they’re getting stale (and stale feeling) and more brittle.
However, one of the great things about Walmart cookies is that they freeze perfectly!
If you’re freezing the whole batch, you can store them in a storage container in the freezer.
If you want to split them up, like half now and half later, you can store them in freezer bags to get all the air out before sealing and they will keep for a few months.
All you have to do is thaw them at room temperature before serving, and they really do taste as if you just brought them home.
Are Walmart Bread Cookies Good?
As a personal eater of Walmart cookies, I can attest that most are pretty good.

Buttercreme comes in 15 colors and whipped comes in 11. Icing is used for borders and decorations, which can be selected according to your preferences.

Again, it retails for $9.98.
If you know you’ll need a lot of cookies and don’t want to shell out a fortune for a specialty bakery order, Walmart’s cookie trays are a great option.
Also, I think you could call the store early in the morning or the day before and ask them to reserve some trays for you.
Does Walmart Bakery have graduation cookies?
Walmart does not take custom cookie orders, but they do sell cookies seasonally.
So you’ll see Christmas cookies around the holidays and graduation themed cookies in April, May and June.
The store also sells graduation themed top hats, so if you want to grab a few plates, get some icing, and dress yourself up, just drop by!
