Unfortunately, IKEA does not offer installment plans and does not accept any requests for backorders or installments. However, customers can pay in installments via IKEA credit card. Other common payment methods accepted by IKEA include cash, debit/credit cards and Apple Pay.

Does IKEA accept “buy now pay later” sites?
Customers can use the “buy now, pay later” website Zip (formerly known as Quadpay) Buying from the IKEA website in the US
Zip is a great alternative to an installment plan because customers can pay in four interest-free installments over six weeks.
But keep in mind that to use Zip, users must be at least 18 years old, have a valid bank account, and have a US cell phone number.
To shop at IKEA using Zip, you may need to browse through the Zip app. Unfortunately, IKEA does not allow payments via Klarna US or Afterpay in the US.
Can IKEA pay in installments?
While you can’t use installment payments at IKEA, you can stagger payments with the IKEA Visa credit card as described above.
If you use the IKEA Visa Card, you can pay for your purchases at IKEA directly online for 10 months interest-free.
You simply insert your IKEA Visa card data and your payment is automatically divided into 10 monthly interest-free installments.
Does IKEA offer other financial options?
IKEA offers several financing options for specific products and categories, as listed below:
- Pay $49.18 for your dream kitchen over 50 months
- BODARP Dining $76.97 per week for 12 months (interest free)
- KUNGSBACKA KUNGSBACKA Recycled Kitchen $57.72 per week Interest Free for 1 year (12 months)
In addition, IKEA also provides short-term credit of 5 months and long-term credit of 12 to 50 months:
- Borrow $1-$1,000 in 2.5 months
- 2.5-5 months USD 1,001-2,000
- $2,000-$4,999 over 12 months
- $5,000-$50,000 over 50 months
Please note that you will be charged $8 per month for a period of 5 months and an interest-free period will be applied based on your purchase price until you pay off the original amount.
Customers can apply for IKEA financing both online and in-store.
What is the IKEA credit card?
There are two types of IKEA credit cards: the IKEA Visa credit card, for everyday rewards, and the IKEA Projekt credit card, for larger purchases.
These credit cards are only available in the US and offer customers the opportunity to earn IKEA Rewards on everyday purchases.
Plus, the Projekt credit card lets you pay off a single purchase over time.
If you are approved for the IKEA Visa Credit Card in an IKEA store or online, you can get a credit line at IKEA and you can use your newly opened account on the day of activation.
If you ordered an IKEA Visa credit card for delivery, you will receive a welcome pack with the card in the mail within 7-10 business days.
Remember, you must complete an application to redeem these benefits and provide your personal information and annual income.
