Why was my ASOS order unsuccessful in 2022?
In 2022, your ASOS order may fail for a number of reasons. When shopping, you may encounter problems with your card details; therefore, you should check the information on your ASOS account to confirm that it is correct. Your package may also be rejected if the courier cannot access your address.
Read on to learn more about why your ASOS order was unsuccessful and what to do about it, as well as other helpful and relevant facts!
Why was my ASOS order unsuccessful?
Here are some reasons why your ASOS order was unsuccessful:
Wrong card details
If payment is declined, your order may fail. When this happens, you should check your card details.
Confirm that the card details (such as billing address and expiration date) on your ASOS account are correct.
Also, you should check that the security code (three digits on the back of the card) is correct.
Bank rejects card
On the other hand, your card issuer may have declined your payment. This could be due to suspicious activity, insufficient funds or other issues with your bank account.
In fact, most online orders are cancelled or unsuccessful due to alleged fraud.
What to do when your ASOS order is unsuccessful
If your ASOS order is unsuccessful, you can take the following steps:
contact the bank
If your payment is declined, ASOS advises customers to contact their bank for more information.
Your bank can let you know if there is a problem with your bank account or card.
Contact ASOS Customer Service Team
If you receive an error message, you can consult the ASOS customer support team. You should provide as much detail as possible, including error messages.
After talking to them, they will solve the problem as soon as possible.
use another card
Finally, if these steps don’t work, you can try paying with another card. You can use it to confirm if there is a problem with your first card.
Why did ASOS return my package?
Occasionally, your order may fail if it is returned to ASOS. ASOS’s shipping partners return orders for several reasons:
- If the delivery partner cannot access the address after multiple attempts
- If the package is rejected
- When the package is damaged in transit
- If the shipping address is incomplete
- When not picked up from the pickup point within 10 days of delivery
When an order is returned to ASOS, you must allow it up to 10 days to return to the warehouse.
If you still need these items, you should place a new order with an accessible shipping address.
What happens when you cancel an order on ASOS?
If you cancel your order through your ASOS account, the retailer will not process or charge you.
Instead, ASOS only collects money after the order is sent to the warehouse for packaging.
After cancellation, the money is available depending on the payment method you used at checkout.
If you use a credit or debit card and PayPal, the funds are held by the payment provider for authorization. If you use a gift certificate, it will be credited to your account within 72 hours.
Note that your reserved funds will be available after 10 business days, depending on your provider.
However, if you do not receive cash within this period, you can contact the customer service team.
Why can’t I cancel my order?
ASOS has different time limits for cancelling orders, depending on the payment method. You have 15 minutes for Next Day, Evening Nex Day and ASOS Instant.
If you choose day delivery, you can cancel 2 days before that day.
For standard delivery and other options, you have 60 minutes after placing your order. However, if you place an order using Clearpay, you will not have the option to cancel.
Why is ASOS closing my account?
If ASOS detects unusual return activity, the company may have to deactivate your account. This is one of the reasons why ASOS may close your account.
In 2019, ASOS changed its return policy to warn against continuous wear and return.
With this new policy, ASOS is warning customers who have purchased, worn and returned too many items from the site.
However, if you believe your account has been deactivated in error, you can contact the customer support team for assistance.
