When you enter someone’s information using this program, Uber will send them a text message with details such as the driver’s ETA, license plate number, vehicle make and model, and name.
They don’t require the Uber app to be installed on your phone, so you can order rides for people who don’t have a smartphone.
Their names will now appear under a drop-down menu at the top of the screen, where you can click “For Me” for quicker access to the feature.
How they appear in this menu will correspond to the names you use for their contacts, and you can add multiple people to make it easier to tell who’s who.
When you order an Uber ride for someone else, you can track them in real time, but you can’t order another ride, not even for yourself, until it’s done.

As we described in the previous section, you can use Uber without the app when someone calls you a ride.
This is possible because Uber will text you your ride details so you can use any phone, even cannot Install the application.
You can also use Uber without the app and book a car for yourself through the website, as long as you already have an account.
If you don’t have one, you can register on the website, then log in with your phone number, enter the pickup location, and select the type of ride you want.
After you confirm your ride, Uber will text the details to the phone number you use.
