Does Wayfair offer assembly services? (all you must know)
For many people, buying furniture is only half the battle, the other half comes when the item arrives and you have to start the process of assembling it.
Wayfair is one of the most popular furniture buying sites, but some of its products contain many parts and take hours to assemble. So, you might be wondering, does Wayfair offer assembly services? If so, is it free? Look no further, because I have the answers you need!
Will Wayfair offer assembly in 2022?
Wayfair does offer assembly for some items in 2022 for an additional fee. This fee is often quite high, sometimes as much as half the cost of the item itself. Wayfair has partnered with third-party home improvement company Handy to handle all of its components. All Handy assemblers are background checked.

Can you add assemblies to Wayfair?
You can add rigs to Wayfair, but only for certain items. So, to see if you can add a component, navigate to the product page and scroll to where it says “Add to Cart”.
If that particular product can be assembled, then under what we offer, it will show Expert Assembled for $XX.
To add it to your order, simply check the box for expert assembly.
If you add an item to your cart without checking the Expert Assembly checkbox, but you change your mind later, you can also add it at checkout.
Just navigate to your cart, find the item, and below it it says “Expert Assembly by Handy for $XX”; you can click the “Add” link.
Next, assembly options will be added to your cart. Once you’ve added your assembly options and are ready to checkout, proceed as usual.
You will then receive an email from Handy, a company that has partnered with Wayfair for expert assembly.
They will schedule a time based on your delivery date and send someone out to assemble the item for you.
If that time doesn’t work, for example, because no one will be home, you can reschedule; the link to do so is in the email.
Your Handy professional will have all the tools and equipment you need to assemble your item that day.
If for any reason you are not satisfied with the assembly, please contact Handy and they will send someone over to fix the problem.
Additionally, if you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment, you can do so up to 24 hours before the appointment is set up without penalty.
There is a fee for rescheduling or canceling an appointment within 24 hours of the appointment.
How does Wayfair’s Handy work?
Handy, a home improvement company that connects partners with professional assemblers, has partnered with Wayfair to provide home assembly services.
You simply pay for the service at checkout, schedule or reschedule an appointment to suit your needs, and wait for a professional to assemble your item.
What does partial assembly at Wayfair mean?
Partial assembly of a Wayfair item means that the item is assembled to a point where the customer must complete the assembly themselves.
It doesn’t take you as much time or effort as it takes to fully assemble it, and in some cases, like nightstands, you can search by only the partial assembly you need.
Do Wayfair furniture come with instructions?
Wayfair furniture definitely comes with instructions so you can assemble it yourself.
If for some reason the instructions are missing, you can try navigating to the product page on Wayfair.com and looking for the instructions there.
Many (but not all) projects provide assembly instructions in digital format.
