Can you return your mattress to Wayfair?
If you purchase a regular mattress from Wayfair, you are automatically enrolled in a 100-day trial.
Basically, you have 100 nights to decide if you made the right choice, if you want to replace your mattress, or if you just want to get your money back.
You can only return or replace the mattress once per order, but with any luck you won’t need time.
Now, when you initiate a return or exchange, Wayfair will contact you to arrange a pickup.
You don’t think you have to send the mattress back in the mail yourself, right?
No, instead, a third-party courier will pick up the mattress on the agreed date and time, and it’s completely free!
You can arrange for Wayfair to take your old mattress for a whopping $150.
If money isn’t an issue, then whatever, but those of you on a budget will have to come up with some other dispositions.
If you do arrange for Wayfair to take your old mattress, Wayfair is under no obligation to take it back if you change your mind about your new mattress.
Now, as I mentioned in the introduction, there are a few caveats to the mattress trial period.
If you purchased any of the following items, they are not eligible for the 100-night trial:
- mattress cover
- a baby mattress
- an air cushion
- Out of the Box Mattress
Instead, they adhere to Wayfair’s overall 30-day policy.
Items must be returned in “like new” condition and you will pay for return shipping.
How do you return your mattress to Wayfair?
You can return your mattress to Wayfair just like you would return anything. Use the following method:
- First go to My Orders and select the mattress you want to return.
- Click the Back option.
- Then you choose your refund method: store the credit card or return the card you used for the purchase.
- If you’re just replacing a mattress, you may want to opt for store credit; processing takes only one business day.
- However, if you’re returning your mattress and want a refund, be sure to choose another method. Processing takes three to five business days.
After submitting your return, you can sit back and wait as someone will contact you over the phone to arrange for your mattress to be picked up.
Can you exchange mattresses with Wayfair?
You can exchange mattresses with Wayfair, but the process is similar to simply returning the mattress. Honestly, it depends on your budget.
If you purchased the original mattress with a debit/credit card and the refund was returned to the card, you can continue to use your debit/credit card to purchase a new mattress.
That is, if you have the funds. Then, when your refund is processed, it balances out.
(You can also wait until the refund is processed and the money is back in your account before buying a new mattress.)
However, let’s say you selected store credit when you returned it.
Well, you can wait until your returns and refunds are processed and use the money to buy a new mattress.
