What is Samsung Incallui? (all you must know)
As smartphones have become so sophisticated over the past few years, it makes sense that some features weren’t clearly placed when they first appeared.
One such feature is Samsung InCallUI, which you may have spotted because it keeps crashing, or you spotted it while looking at system files. If you want to learn more about it, keep reading!
What is Samsung InCallUI?
Samsung InCallUI is a system service that manages what you see when you make or receive calls on your Galaxy device. It looks different on Samsung devices than on stock Android versions or other brands of devices. Its purpose is to let you manage the different aspects of the call and to give you access to the components your process needs.
To learn everything you need to know about Samsung InCallUI, including what it is for, what to do if it keeps crashing, and more, read on!
How do you access InCallUI?
You can access InCallUI at any time by opening the mobile app. As we mentioned above, it’s more or less a skin on the app, so it’s what you use to access it.
In fact, it’s actively running in the background as long as the device is on, even before you launch it through the phone app.
What is the purpose of InCallUI?
As we mentioned in the first section, the purpose of InCallUI is to allow you to interact and control different functions related to telephony, including the following:
- Bring up the keyboard for input
- Displays call-related information such as caller ID, number, contacts, and photo (if available)
- initiate an outgoing call
- Answer, reject and hang up calls
- add another call
- hang on
- Record a call
- Manage sound output by turning speakers on or off, muting calls, or switching to a Bluetooth device
Because it is required for communication, InCallUI always runs in the background, which is why it appears in the resource usage report.
How can I fix if InCallUI stops?
To fix the “InCallUI has stopped” error, you can give the service permission to display on other apps, or clear the device’s cache while it’s in safe mode.
To allow it to show or cover other apps, you need to go to your device’s settings menu and find the section where you can change permissions.
The way you navigate to this section will vary depending on the software version you’re running on your device, but the basic principles are the same.
When you go to the app list, find a menu that gives you the option to view normally hidden system apps.
Find InCallUI (sometimes marked as a phone app) then tap it and find the permissions it needs.
Occasionally, options for drawing or showing over other apps may be listed as “Appears on top of other apps.”
Again, you can fix the error by clearing its cache in safe mode, which you can access by following these steps:
- Power off the device
- Reopen and wait for the Samsung logo to appear on the screen
- When the logo appears, press and hold the volume down button
- Check to see if “Safe Mode” is displayed at the bottom left of the screen. If not, keep repeating the process from step 1 until it finishes
If you have a newer device, you can try the following alternatives:
- Pull down the notification panel and tap the power icon
- Click and hold “Shut Down”
- When the “Safe Mode” button pops up, tap it and wait for the device to reboot
When you boot your device into safe mode, you can find the service and clear its cache just like any other app.
Going into Safe Mode works best because the app is harder to use in a regular state because it’s always running.
Is Com Samsung Android InCallUI used for cheating?
Com Samsung Android InCallUI is used for cheating in the same way that mobile phones are used for cheating.
If you see it in someone’s device, it doesn’t mean they’re cheating, it’s because it’s only used to facilitate calls and operate the dialer.
How do I remove InCallUI from my phone?
Unfortunately, you can’t remove InCallUI from your phone as it’s a system app necessary to maintain core functionality.
If you want to remove it because you don’t think it’s safe, like a virus, then hopefully the articles so far have convinced you that it’s not.
If you try to forcefully remove it, then you risk the device failing and you won’t be able to make calls until you reactivate it or replace it.
If you’re considering removing it because you don’t like how it looks, you can use the launcher.
Options such as Nova, Microsoft, and GO Launcher customize the look and feel of your device, including the dialer, and are available for download in the most popular app stores.
Again, if you’re not happy with the default settings, you can find apps that just change the dialer or download the separate phone app.
However, we recommend that you choose content with strong reviews and several (at least millions) downloads to keep your phone activity safe.

in conclusion
Samsung InCallUI is a service that allows you to manage calls on your device by answering and hanging up, holding calls, switching to the speaker, and bringing up the keyboard.
If it keeps stopping, you may need to give it permission to appear on top of other apps in the Settings menu, or clear its cache in Safe Mode. You can’t get rid of it, but you can use the custom dialer’s launcher to change how it looks and operates.
