After the doughnuts are carefully baked, the staff will decorate the doughnuts with different flavored toppings according to the customer’s preferences, and then display them.
Also, while many Dunkin’ stores will pre-bake donuts, it’s good to point out that some stores bake donuts on demand.
So if your local Dunkin’ store bakes donuts in real time, you can customize your favorite dessert to your taste buds’ preferences.
Plus, if you’re pressed for time but want to enjoy your favorite morning and evening treats, you can skip the line at your local Dunkin’ store.

Why aren’t Dunkin’ Donuts made in-store?
Dunkin’ Donuts are not made in-store because most Dunkin’ Donut stores don’t have the necessary space.

That said, if Dunkin’ were to make donuts from scratch in-store, it would take three to four hours to make, bake and decorate the dessert.

As a result, the filling, icing, powdering, decoration and display of the different types of Dunkin’ donuts is done at the various Dunkin’ stores.

So, do your research to determine if your local Dunkin’ store produces doughnuts locally or sources them from a central bakery.
Are Dunkin’ Donuts fresh?

However, it’s important to note that most fast food chains don’t make donuts on site.
As mentioned earlier, Dunkin’ Donuts stores donuts from the nearby Central Bakery, which are made early in the morning.
Therefore, the freshness of Dunkin’ Donuts is entirely dependent on how close your local Dunkin’ store is to the central facility where snacks are made and baked.
For example, by the time the doughnuts arrive at some backward Dunkin’ store a few hours drive from the facility, it may have been a few hours and the doughnuts may have been stale.
On the other hand, if your local Dunkin’ Donuts store is near a central facility, it’s likely to offer freshly baked donuts.
Unfortunately, Dunkin’ Donuts isn’t the only fast food chain that doesn’t create menu items from scratch.
For example, most fast food chains around the world do not make menu items locally to serve as many customers as possible.
Plus, the only menu items the multinational restaurant chain makes from scratch include bagels, croissants, and muffins.
