Does Sam’s Club accept cash?
Sam’s Club accepts a variety of payment methods, including cash. However, you cannot use cash to pay for online merchandise, nor can you use cash to pay for fuel at Sam’s Club gas stations.

What payment methods does Sam’s Cub accept?
Sam’s Club accepts the usual variety of payment formats and payment technologies, and they also share credit and gift cards with parent company Walmart.
Sam’s Club accepts all major credit cards for withdrawals from U.S. accounts (but you cannot use international credit cards in-store or online). Payment options currently accepted at Sam’s Club include:

You can use all of the above if you shop online at samsclub.com (via digital wallet service) Apart from Cash, check and SNAP/EBT payments, you also can’t use your Walmart credit card online at Sam’s Club.
Remember, you can’t use Apple Pay when you shop at Sam’s Club, and you can’t pay via PayPal.This can be confusing, especially since Walmart also rejects Apple Pay, but Do Accept Paypal.

What is Sam’s Club Scan & Go?
Scan & Go Checkout is a mobile payment technology that Sam’s Club members can use at the club or gas station – but remember, you must be a member to use it.
The system works through the Sam’s Club app and you pay with a card stored in a digital payment wallet. Members scan items as they shop and load trolleys, pay through their app, and then present an electronic receipt before leaving the store.
The advantage is the ability to skip the checkout queue and only handle one grocery load. Of course, you can also buy your Sam’s Club items online and opt for curbside pickup, another quick and easy way to get your groceries.
How do I pay for gas at Sam’s Club?
Unless local law restricts this restriction and allows gasoline service to all consumers, you must be a Sam’s Club member to purchase fuel. You can pay for Sam’s Club gas with credit cards and gift cards, but not cash.
To buy fuel, you need to have a physical card or card payment technology, such as Scan & Go, set up on your phone. However, you can’t pay for Sam’s Club gas with Apple Pay. Accepted cards include:

Does Sam’s Club accept multiple payment methods?
Whether retailers will embrace multiple payment methods can be confusing. This is because the terms used to distinguish transaction formats can be difficult to understand.

What is Sam Cash?
Sam’s Cash is the Club Loyalty Rewards currency (now combined with existing Plus Membership Cash Rewards and Sam’s Club MasterCard Holders Cash Back). Master Account Holder and Complimentary Cardholder purchases count towards earning rewards and accrue cash when members shop.
Cash is issued monthly and deposited directly into the membership card at the beginning of each month. It is available for purchase online, at the club or through the Sam’s Club mobile app. You can also exchange your digital cash for physical cash at any club’s registry.
Sam’s Cash is available to all Sam’s Club members (including Club and Plus members) and you are automatically enrolled in the program.

How do I sign up for Sam’s Cash?
There is no need to formally “sign up” to start accumulating Sam’s Cash, as your membership automatically starts accumulating for you. There is no need to “opt-in” anything.
However, you don’t have to use cash if you don’t want to. Some members aren’t sure what exactly “Sam’s Cash” is – the program was formerly a cash rewards program (Plus members) and a cashback program (Sam’s Mastercard).
With Sam’s Cash, everything is in one place and it’s easier to earn, track and spend.
As a club member, you will:
Get 1% cash back on Sam’s Club purchases, plus 5% cash back on gas (up to $6,000 per year, 1% thereafter), 3% cash back on dining and 1% cash back on other purchases with your Sam’s Club Mastercard .
As a Plus member you will:
2% cash back on qualifying purchases of up to $500 per year, including Scan & Go and curbside pickup
With Sam’s Club Mastercard, you can earn an additional 3% cash back on Sam’s Club purchases, plus 5% cash back on gas (first $6,000 per year, then 1%), 3% cash back on dining and 1% cash back In other purchases.

You can use it at Sam’s Club (in-store), but don’t bother trying to buy Sam’s Club fuel with it! Remember, you can also exchange your digital Sam’s Cash for real cash (in-store) if you have any accumulation.
