Are Pistachio Oreos discontinued? (Find out!)
Oreos are always releasing delicious and sometimes weird flavors! Products like Red Velvet Oreos, Carrot Cake Oreos, and Mint Oreos can divide people into absolute love or reluctant hate.
One of the flavors they released that I really liked was their Pistachio Oreo Pancakes. Kind of I haven’t seen them on the shelves in months. Which makes me wonder, are they discontinued?
Are Pistachio Oreos discontinued?
Unfortunately, Pistachio Oreo Thins has been discontinued, and Oreo has no announcements or plans to relaunch this delicacy. Oreos tested various flavors, such as Lemon Meringue Oreos, but many were limited editions or discontinued if they didn’t meet sales expectations.

Got Pistachio Oreos?
There used to be Pistachio Oreo Thins before discontinuation. It’s Oreo’s signature sandwich cookie on the outside and a thin layer of pistachio cream on the inside.
It doesn’t have the original vanilla cream and is noticeably thinner, hence the name Oreo Thins. The appearance is very similar to the still-available Peppermint Oreo Pancakes, but of course they taste quite different.
Which Oreo flavors have been discontinued?
Oreos have been around since 1912, and with that comes the abundance of flavors! However, not all of them made it and stayed on the shelves indefinitely.
Some of the well-known (and some we’ve never heard of) Oreo flavors on sale are:
- Double Joy Oreos
- Lemony Merengue Oreos
- magic dunk
- Apple Pie Oreo
- Big Oreo
- Oreo DQ Blizzard Cream
- Oreo dunk
- oh oh oreo
- Caramel Caramel Cream Oreos
- Cinnamon Bread Oreos
How many Oreos in a pack
Most standard Oreo packs have 15 cookies per row of 3 rows for a total of 45 Oreo cookies.
Oreo Thins has 40 Oreos and you can buy a boxed version, which comes in 4 packs of 35 for a total of 140 cookies.
What is the rarest Oreo?
Oreo sells limited edition Pokemon Oreos, and inside, Meow Oreos are the rarest Oreos. In addition to this being a limited edition Oreo pack, each pack has a variety of different Pokemon designs on it.
You can find some favorites there, such as Pikachu, Charizard, and Squirrel. However, if you do find Mew Oreos, you’ll be very lucky as they are the rarest Oreos and you can’t guarantee they’ll be in every pack.
In fact, it’s so rare that NPR claims one sold for $15,000 in an online auction! That’s a cookie you don’t want to eat.
in conclusion
Pistachio Oreos have been discontinued, and Oreos have not announced that they are bringing them back.
Oreo occasionally relaunches discontinued products to the market, so you may see these on shelves in the future, but there is no guarantee. Like lemon merengo oreos, they may be gone forever.
