Can Sam’s Club check receipts?
I have a bad habit of throwing away receipts almost immediately. I even threw some away when I walked out of the store.
So if I wanted to get paid, I would find myself in a bind. Especially Sam’s Club. Can Sam’s Club see your receipts? Here’s what we found…
Can Sam’s Club check receipts?
Sam’s Club is Members only Warehouse retail chain. This means that most of your shopping is done through a personal account, so your shopping history is stored in the same account. At Sam’s Club, you can retrieve your purchase history using the application form or app, and you can view up to 3 years of online or in-club purchases.

How do I find my Sam’s Club purchase history?
This is not a problem if you lose your receipt. All your Sam’s Club online or in-store purchases are held in your account as long as you pay electronically. To find copies of any receipts from the past 3 years:
1. Log in to your My Account page.
2. In the menu, click Order association
3. Filter your orders by selection online or at the club Purchase (you can also view your order by All orders or select the year of purchase)
4. Open the order number and print the information – this will serve as a valid receipt.
5. For memberships paid (or renewed) online, you will see this receipt in your purchase history. Auto Renew and Autobill renewed memberships receive an email, which is also a valid form of receipt.
6. If you paid in cash (in-store) and do not have a receipt, Sam’s Club says they will do their best to process your return regardless. However, in this case, you may not be able to request a refund.
How do I get my Sam’s Club Pharmacy purchase history?
Pharmacy purchase history is an important and necessary record, and any Sam’s Club pharmacy you use can provide a medical expense report that also shows your prescription purchase transaction history.
If you have a SamsClub.com pharmacy account, you can access up to 2 years of pharmacy purchase history online.
To set up a pharmacy account or add a prescription, visit Sam’s Club Pharmacy to join or edit current information.
When you log in and click on your pharmacy purchase history, you will see that your records are divided into online purchases and club purchases.

How do I return a product at Sam’s Club?
Sam’s Club has one 100% Satisfaction Guarantee, This applies to every member customer. Specifically, a guarantee means:
If you are a current member and are dissatisfied with an item purchased online or at the club, we are happy to refund or replace it, with a few exceptions.
Every item you buy from Sam’s Club has a product description page. Check this for the specific return policy. Basically though:
- You can return it anytime
- Electronics and major appliances within 90 days
- Commercial heavy equipment and racing programs within 30 days
- Mobile within 14 days (prepaid, postpaid, no contract)
- Gift cards, prepaid card tickets, custom and personalized items, items purchased through wholesale transaction programs, non-returnable prescriptions
- Check with your club on alcohol products, car tires and batteries, cigarettes and tobacco, glasses and hearing aids
To return a return, you can:
- Take it to the club (if you have a receipt, please bring it)
- Send it back (you complete this process through your account order details)
- Call Sam’s Club ((888) 746-7726) with your order number
please remember:
- Your refund will be issued to the original payment method
- You cannot process online returns for items purchased from club locations
- You will need to return all accessories and packing slips that came with the original packaging
- If you have a receipt, be sure to show it – it saves time
- If you don’t have a receipt, your purchase history is enough
- If an item purchased online cannot be returned to a Sam’s Club store, it will be noted on the product page.
How do I file a warranty claim?
If things don’t work as expected, the warranty may allow for the return, replacement or repair of the purchased item. The product’s warranty serves as a guarantee that the item will perform as described. However, not all guarantees are the same.
Sam’s Club products are backed not only by the Sam’s Club Satisfaction Guarantee, but also by the manufacturer’s warranty. For further protection, Sam’s Club also offers a protection plan.
If you purchased a Sam’s Club product with a manufacturer’s warranty, the warranty should be listed near the bottom of the product detail page. You can also read the documentation received with the product.
First read your warranty carefully to see if you need to register a warranty claim, then (if you do) provide the following information:
- serial number
- model
- Installation date (if applicable)
However, if you purchased the Extended Protection Plan, the product will be automatically enrolled and you will receive an email with more information within 24 hours of purchase.
To file a claim against a manufacturer’s warranty, please contact the manufacturer and have the product’s serial number ready. A dated sales receipt is usually sufficient to file a warranty claim.
If you intend to file a warranty claim for a car battery, you will need to provide a receipt or service order, and the battery must be tested “BAD” on a Sam’s Club Center facility to make a claim.

If you’ve lost your Sam’s Club receipt and are planning to return it, you don’t need to worry. Your Sam’s Club account records your purchase history for the past three years.
This means you can access all purchased information and print your own receipt. If you can’t do that, Sam’s Club can find it for you.
But keep in mind that any type of claim will be processed faster if you have all the information, and you should always check the item policy before buying anything. In general, though, Sam’s Club will always try to help you.
