Does Amazon accept Afterpay? (Try this)
In today’s world, consumers are looking for easy and convenient ways to shop and pay. Afterpay is a prime example, as the buy now, pay later program is an entirely new alternative to traditional credit cards.

Does Amazon accept Afterpay?
Unfortunately, Amazon does not accept Afterpay. In lieu of Afterpay or installment payments, Amazon offers special financing for Amazon cardholders or shoppers buying Kindle e-readers, Fire tablets and Alexa devices. Alternatively, Amazon customers can use Pay-in-4 on Amazon through the Klarna and Zip apps.

Why isn’t Amazon accepting Afterpay?
Essentially, Amazon doesn’t accept Afterpay because it’s not worth it for the big e-commerce retailer.
While many stores are now offering Afterpay as a way to incentivize shoppers and offer more flexible payment arrangements, the Amazon leader sees no need to include Afterpay on the leading e-commerce platform.
While many clothing and home retailers are taking advantage of Afterpay and finding it works very well for their customers, Amazon doesn’t need to rely on the payment platform to attract customers.
Amazon has millions of loyal shoppers who have proven they would shop on Amazon even without the Afterpay option.
That’s not to say Amazon won’t offer Afterpay in the future.
How big Afterpay will become is anyone’s guess, and whether consumer activity and demand will steer Amazon in the direction of a more flexible payments product.
However, Amazon is leading the way in e-commerce, even without Afterpay or a similar payment program.
Can you buy now and pay later on Amazon?
Unfortunately, while Amazon doesn’t accept AfterPay, there are actually other alternative services you can try!
For example, Amazon currently allows customers to use buy now pay later services such as Klarna and Zip.

As for Zip, users will have to add their Zip card details, which are used as containers to pay for items. Then pay in 4 installments on the service.
So while Amazon doesn’t accept Zips directly in the checkout page, here’s a way to get around it.
Which other online retailers accept Afterpay?
Amazon may not accept Afterpay, but many of its competitors do, especially when it comes to clothing retailers.
The current list of US retailers who accept Afterpay includes around 7,400 merchants, mostly in the beauty and clothing sectors.
Some of the most famous clothing retailers that accept Afterpay include Forever 21, Old Navy, Dillard’s, UGG, Fabletics, Levi’s, Pacsun, Urban Outfitters and many more.
There are also many beauty brands such as Jo Malone London, Credo Beauty, MAC Cosmetics and The Cosmetics Company Store.
While Amazon has thousands of affordable home items for sale, shoppers who prefer to buy now and pay later may prefer Bed Bath & Beyond or The Container Store as they both accept Afterpay.
Amazon is also a popular place to buy accessories, but if you need to buy now, pay later, there’s Afterpay from the likes of Crocs, Steve Madden, Pandora and LensCrafters.
