Squishmallows have taken the world by storm! They’re hugely popular, and for good reason: they’re cute!
I was thinking of getting a new one for my niece this holiday season and thought, does Barnes and Noble sell Squishmallows? Here’s what we found…
Does Barnes & Noble have Squishmallows?
Barnes & Noble retail bookstore no longer sells Squishmallows. Squishmallows, a popular stuffed toy brand launched by Kelly Toys Holdings in 2017, can be found at other retailers including CVS, Costco, Kroger and Walgreens.
This article covers Squishmallows and their retail availability through Barnes & Noble: why they no longer exist, what they are, and where (and how) you can buy them.
What is fudge?
Squishmallows is a line of stuffed toys made from colorful polyester and stuffing popular for their attractive shapes, soft textures and quirky characters.
The name “Squishmallows” comes from the toy’s marshmallow shape and feel. They come in a variety of styles including animals, fruits, mini friends and popular characters.
The Squishmallows website will give you full information about each character – and they’re all described and named individually. You can also find information on “New Arrivals” or you can click the “Buy All” button to browse the entire collection.
The site also provides news and updates and links to various social media pages.You can create an account with Squishmallows, view the company’s awards and recognition, and scroll through the list of retailers below Do These toys are sold in the store.
Why is Barnes & Noble no longer selling Squishmallows?
The Squishmallows website includes a handy list of retailers that do represent their toys, but you’ll notice Barnes & Noble is no longer on that list.
Barnes & Noble used to sell Squishmallows, but it’s unclear why they no longer work with Squishmallows Retail.
The last Squishmallow on the Barnes & Noble website is a set of Squishville Mystery Mini Squishmallows. There are four different characters and are about two inches tall. Unfortunately, the listing says these are “temporarily out of stock”.
This list has not been updated for a while. However, Barnes & Noble will definitely have a copy of Bernie Collins’ Squishmallows: The Official Collection Guide. According to the site, the book will be available on June 28, 2022, but it is available for pre-order now.
According to the reviews, this guide is “based on the best-selling squishable toys, this adorable collectible guide is the perfect gift for any Squishmallows fan!”

Can I buy Squishmallows online?
Squishmallows can be purchased online from the official Squishmallows website and/or any other retailer with e-commerce facilities.
For example, if you go to Amazon and type “Squishmallows” into the search bar, you’ll immediately see a list of Squishmallow characters available for purchase.
Walmart also offers a ton of Squishmallows. But if you want to check out the latest Squishmallow characters (and collectibles), the Squishmallows website is the place to go.
Is gummy worth it?
The official Squishmallows website now has a Collector’s Guide, will be updated again soon. Here you’ll find information about the collectible’s model number, including model number, name, size, and the “date squeezed” or date of manufacture.
Each model has a unique description and rarity score. The rarity key classifies each collectible model according to its rarity, each with a special identifying label:

- Ultra Rare (Gold)
- Special Edition (Holographic)
- Featured Collection (Black: Only 10,000 Made)
- Founder’s edition – Redeemable with special Founder’s Edition Squishmallows Trading Cards only

Actually Barnes & Noble Do Selling plush toys – not Squishmallows. B&N’s Collection Toys Includes various characters, miniature characters, key ring characters, puppets and mini friends. Here are some of the most popular:
