Does HomeGoods have pumpkin candies? (Check here!)
Squishmallows have taken the world by storm. They are becoming more and more popular.
You can find Squishmallows online and in-store, but what about HomeGoods? Does HomeGoods sell Squishmallows?
Does HomeGoods have pumpkin candies?
American HomeGoods does not sell Squishmallows. The HomeGoods collection focuses on furniture, decor and storage solutions. To that end, HomeGoods’ “toys” offerings are more decorative than playful, and they don’t sell collectible toys like Squishmallows at all.
This article explores HomeGoods and Squishmallows queries and see where you are able Buy your Squishmallows instead.
What is Pumpkin Candy?
Candy Pumpkin is a plush toy filled with super soft cotton candy-like polyester. They retail for between $2.99 and $59.99. There are also “collectible and rare” Squishmallows that are produced in smaller quantities and hold their value even second-hand.
There are more than 800 species of Squishmallow, including frogs and birds, leopards with pink spots and pugs dressed as astronauts. Sizes range from 3-inch “Micromallows” to extra-large 24-inch models. New Squishmallows are constantly being designed and introduced, some in small batches with “numbered” labels. These models were designed from the ground up to be collectible.
The original Squishmallow plush was round and launched in 2017 by Kelly Toys Holdings LLC. The original toys come in a variety of colors, sizes, textures and animal characters.
There are now over 1000 Squishmallow characters with unique names, traits and backstories. During the Covid 19 pandemic, collecting different models became popular around the world. During this time, collectors also began posting their favorite characters on social media, furthering the toy’s popularity and “collect it all” desire.
Squishmallows were originally sold through the KellyToys website, but have gradually moved to the retail shelves of chain stores such as Walgreens, Costco, CVS, Walmart, Hallmark, and Target. However, not all large retail chains are Squishmallows.
Some stores, such as Sam’s Club, instead sell their own version of the Squishmallow called Member’s Mark Squishie Plush. These toys also come in a variety of models.

Where can I buy pumpkin candies?
Squishmallows are now available all over the world. In the US, they can be found at many large stores such as Costco, CVS, Hot Topic, London Drugs, Five Below, GameStop, Walmart, and Hamrick’s. The pricier Squishmallows are sold at Hallmark, while the more cost-effective Squishmallows are often sold at retail chains like Costco, Target, and Walmart.
Historically, demand for Squishmallows has outstripped supply, fueling collecting frenzy and confusion over where to buy these toys.
Squishmallow resellers also dominate these toy outlets, often making such purchases that individual buyers keep missing out. This has caused serious anxiety in the “Squishmallow community”, especially when dealers have jacked up original prices significantly.
Additionally, some stores, such as Barnes & Noble, originally sold the toys but discontinued the Squishmallow line for reasons never disclosed.

Is there a Squishmallow app?
There is now a dedicated Squishmallow app called Squish Alert. This app will notify you when different Squishmallow online retailers are back in stock. This app is designed for and appeals to the die-hard Squishmallow collector.
SquadApp is also available. This is an “UNOFFICIAL” app and collection tracker and is not affiliated with Kelly Toys in any way. There are over 4,000 Squishmallows in the relational database, and new Squishmallows are added daily. With its search function, you can use this application to manage your private Squishmallow collection.
Are Squishmallows still popular?
The newest Squishmallows badge is the 2022 Toy Foundation Toy of the Year Award and People’s Choice Award.
Known as the “Oscars” of the toy world, the Toy of the Year Awards (TOTY) are presented annually to the best toys and games of the year. TOTY Award winners are determined by a panel of experts based on TOTY voting, holiday sales and media coverage. The winners of the People’s Choice Awards are determined by online consumer votes.
Due to the steady demand for the toy, resellers often sell the Squishmallow for a higher price. The average resale price for a Squishmallow depends on the size, condition and rarity of the specific item, characteristics that give the toy collectible value.
Certain limited edition or high demand Squishmallows are now sold by dealers and collectors for hundreds or even thousands of dollars. For example, Jack the Black Cat is now one of the rarest candy pumpkins ever sold.
The black cat is a limited-edition soft toy that Kelly Toys launched online in 2020 and sold out within two hours. Third-party sites such as eBay host listings for Jack the Black Cat worth nearly $2,000.
The Squishmallows franchise now has several non-binary characters, with the first coming in 2021. Consumers responded positively and it quickly became a hit.
Since then, the company has continued to grow its non-binary characters and continue to find more ways to respectfully represent the LGBTQ+ community in the Squishmallows series.

summarize
Squishmallow remains one of the most successful toy designs of all time, and supplies often run out as the toy gains collectible status and an online identity.
While these toys are simple in concept, their unique soft and squishy properties have made them popular across the globe.
Squishmallow characters hold (or even increase) in value after purchase, and a properly kept Squishmallow collection can become a valuable commodity.
Unfortunately, not all retail chains carry Squishmallows, and HomeGoods is one retail chain that doesn’t (and never did) carry them.
