Target also has a pickup option, and one concern for online shoppers is how long the store can hold orders. For those who are busy with work and many commitments, they may not be able to collect their orders right away.

Target holds a customer’s order for three days after the customer’s purchase. However, Target only keeps fresh groceries until the next business day.
Target stores groceries for customers under its Pickup and Drive Up services. Other large retailers in the US have similar services. Some call it curbside pickup. Customers take some time to get their groceries, so Target keeps them for 3 days.
This holding period is much shorter than that of Walmart. Walmart curbside pickup is allowed 7 days from the date of purchase. Still, three days is usually enough time to get your groceries.
If you do not pick up within three days, the order will be cancelled. Worried about your payment? Don’t worry, Target will issue a full refund to your original payment method. Full refunds do not apply if your order includes fresh groceries.
Fresh groceries include frozen meals, milk, cheese, vegetables, fruit, and more. If you need to order these items, please make sure you can collect your items within the given period.
Can I extend my pickup time?
If your order doesn’t have fresh groceries, you can request an extended pickup time.The pickup window can be three more days. Usually, there is no problem with extensions. The goal does allow.
So if you are on vacation or busy, you can always extend the pickup time. This will be a total of 6 days for pickup, including the original three days. You will need to extend your pickup time before the end of the initial pickup window.
Your order will be automatically cancelled after the first three days, so you cannot get an extension.Also, please note Orders containing fresh groceries cannot be extended.

What is the difference between Target Pickup and Drive Up?
Target Pickup and Drive Up are part of the shopping services offered by Target stores. It provides customers with a convenient shopping experience. Shoppers can quickly collect their groceries without having to search for their items in Target stores.

When can I pick up and pick up my order?
Your pickup or pickup order will be ready within 2 hours. You will be notified once your order is ready for pickup. However, some stores may take up to 6 hours to prepare your order. Check your order page or shopping cart to see if your order is ready.
Additionally, push notifications will appear on your phone to remind you. Make sure you have push notifications enabled in the app’s settings. If it is not enabled, you will not receive it.
