Most of the time, you will see USPS deliver during the day. However, if you were expecting your package to arrive in the late afternoon, you might be asking yourself “Is the USPS delivered at night?”

Does USPS ship overnight?
The U.S. Postal Service states on its website that nearly all mail deliveries should be completed by 5 p.m. (local time) Monday through Saturday.This applies to USPS service and / or They use any carrier to complete the delivery.

Does USPS ship on Sunday?
Only certain USPS shipping services will deliver on Sunday. These are specifically Priority Mail Express items and deliveries of Amazon packages.
You can find information about Priority Mail Express in the Domestic Shipping section of the USPS website. Priority Mail Express is the first service listed and is the fastest shipping service from the USPS.
Priority Mail Express delivers 7 days a week, 365 days a year (with some exceptions). The service promises next- to 2-day delivery by 6pm and starts at $26.95. Tracking and insurance are included with most shipments.

USPS’ delivery of Amazon packages on Sunday is part of an agreement between the two companies. For now, Amazon continues to utilize USPS carriers for “last mile deliveries.”
When will USPS stop delivering packages?
USPS aims to complete all regular deliveries by 5pm, although drivers may be delayed for various reasons due to circumstances beyond their control.
The USPS Priority Mail Express service uses 6pm as the latest delivery time (including Sundays and public holidays) to guarantee their next- to two-day delivery.
Otherwise, 5 p.m. or the end of the business day, marking the end of the usual USPS daily delivery schedule.
How late does USPS deliver overnight packages?
USPS Priority Mail Express is the official “overnight” delivery service. They guarantee a 6pm delivery time (or a refund).
It is important to note that circumstances can affect delivery times. Such situations include mail volume, weather, traffic, staffing, vehicle problems, route changes, and natural disasters.
USPS also offers an international express service called Global Express Guaranteed, which delivers within 1 to 3 business days.This service is provided through FedEx with delivery times between 8am and 8pm Monday to Friday.
When is an email considered late?
USPS publishes what they call a list mailing standard in their Delayed Mail and Packages Page.
Here you will find all the information you need about delayed mail.
The delivery standards for each type of mail are different.So you need to check which type Mail waiting before you think about it late.
For example, the delivery standard for First Class Mail is 1-5 business days.Therefore, it is recommended not to contact customer service until back Day 5.
Delivery standard for First-Class Package Service and Priority Mail Service is 1-3 business days, but it is still recommended to contact customer service only back You have waited 5 days or more from the date of mailing.
Priority Mail Express has a guaranteed delivery window of 1-2 calendar days. Therefore, USPS recommends that customers make inquiries immediately if they have missed the guaranteed delivery time.
If you are using USPS Retail Ground, which has a delivery time of 2-8 business days, your package will only be considered late if it is 14 days after the mailing date.
Likewise, media mail, bound print, library mail package service, and package selection service all have a 14-day grace period before being declared late.
Who should I notify if my mail is late?
If your package is late and you’ve checked the waiting period for your mail class, the next step is to double-check your destination. This is because some destinations (Alaska, Hawaii, and U.S. territories) are not part of the USPS Convention delivery schedule.

At this point, when you view the Delayed Mail information page, you may notice the convenience email us button. Here you can stop your search and just submit a query about lost mail. Upload as much information as possible and don’t forget to provide the tracking number if you have one.
You can also proceed yourself by looking up your tracking number. You can find this number on the mailing label or receipt. By entering the number in the tracking bar, you should be able to see the latest tracking status of the message.
If no information is available, or the information has not changed since your last inspection (USPS recommends regular inspections throughout the day), please contact Customer Service with as many details as possible.
What if I don’t have a tracking number?
If your package does not have a tracking number, USPS recommends that you contact the shipping company that handles your shipment.
If the shipper informs you that your item is “in transit” somewhere, it is best to contact the sender and ask for a tracking number, or Let them track the package for you.
What happens when my mail doesn’t show up?
If your message doesn’t show up (and you’ve gone through all of the “Check Mail” steps), your message will go into the “Lost Mail” category. This refers to all mail that has not been received within 7 days of the estimated delivery date.
When this happens, USPS recommends that customers submit a lost mail search request. To complete this process, you need an account. Your local post office can also help you with this request.
