Gas stations that use Apple Pay (2022 update!)
If you have an iPhone, using Apple Pay is a convenient way to pay for your purchases without carrying a bunch of cards around in your wallet. It allows you to securely store payment information for your preferred payment method and pay by tapping your phone or Apple Watch at the POS.
As contactless payment methods have become more popular, many retailers, restaurants and other stores have upgraded their systems to be able to accept Apple Pay. Gas stations are no exception. There are many gas stations in the US that accept Apple Pay in exchange for gas and other goods or services.
Knowing if you can use Apple Pay at a gas station can make a huge difference if you don’t carry other payment methods. Read on to see a list of gas stations that accept Apple Pay, along with some details on each.
Gas stations that use Apple Pay
7-11
7-Eleven is usually quick to catch the latest consumer trends like payments. The company is actually owned by Japan’s 7&I Holdings, where contactless payments have been the norm for years.
Therefore, 7-Eleven is able to accept Apple Pay products and services. However, you must be in a store to pay with Apple Pay.
Alco
Marathon Oil uses the ARCO brand name at gas stations in the United States and Mexico. Independent gas stations can actually choose to use the ARCO brand name as long as they are covered by the Marathon Petroleum distribution network.
ARCO gas stations are located primarily in the western United States, outside the area covered by BP. If you want to pay with Apple Pay at ARCO gas stations, you must go into the store to pay for gas.
BP
While BP does technically accept Apple Pay, there are some issues. To use Apple Pay at a BP or Amoco gas station, you must download the BPme app. The compromise is that the BPme app will allow you to pay at a gas station or store, even with Apple Pay.
As one of the largest producers of oil and gas in the United States, BP/Amoco operates approximately 7,200 gas stations nationwide.
Chevron
As one of the successors of Standard Oil, Chevron is the second largest oil company in the United States. The company operates approximately 19,550 retail locations in 84 countries, including 8,000 gas stations in the United States. They also own and operate the Texaco brand and are a major supplier of jet fuel.
Customers can pay with Apple Pay at Chevron gas stations, or from the gas station using the Chevron app if they wish.
K circle
Circle K convenience stores often set up to distribute gasoline. In fact, only 13% of Circle K locations don’t sell gasoline. Most Circle K locations accept Apple Pay, but some may not. If you want to find out if a location will accept Apple Pay, you can call ahead and ask an employee.
Exxon Mobil
Exxon Mobil is the largest U.S. oil producer and operates gas stations across the country. The largest concentration of Exxon Mobil gas stations is in California, but there are also many in other states such as Texas, Florida and Virginia.
In order to use Apple Pay at ExxonMobil gas stations, customers must download the ExxonMobil Rewards+ app. Apple pay is accepted at most, but not all ExxonMobil gas stations.

Texaco
Most Texaco stores accept Apple Pay for goods and services. However, some parts of the US Midwest may not accept Apple Pay.
That being said, Texaco also has its own mobile app that allows customers to pay in-store or at gas stations using Apple Pay. This feature is available even in locations that may not be able to process Apple Pay themselves.
