What does the DHL ‘With Delivery Courier’ message mean?
Different couriers use different terms. If you ordered something online and they shipped it with DHL, you may have seen their “With Delivery Courier” message.
DHL is the only company I know of that states “with courier”, so what exactly does that mean?
What does the DHL ‘With Delivery Courier’ message mean?
The “With Delivery Courier” message on DHL is similar to the “Out For Delivery” message from other couriers. This means the package is on its way to your address and you can receive it within a day. Once a DHL package is “expressed”, it should take no more than 24-48 hours to arrive.

How long does it take DHL for express delivery?
DHL is one of the fastest courier services. Most shipments from neighboring countries usually take 2-3 days by DHL.
Sometimes, shipments shipped with DHL can take up to 20 days if the country is far away or due to customs delays on arrival.
What does “ship to courier” mean?
“In Transit To Delivery Courier” means the package has left the warehouse and is on its way to its final destination, but has not yet been delivered.
Once the package reaches its final destination, it transitions to “With Delivery Courier,” the final stage of the shipping process.
The “courier in transit” stage can take a day or two to reach the destination and begin deliveries.
Will DHL text you before shipping?
If you are in the UK, you can sign up for text messages about your shipments here. You will receive a “You are next!” message when your product is about to be delivered.
However, there are now many fraudulent text messages and emails sent using the DHL name and logo.
If you have not registered for these messages, please be aware of any emails or texts you receive claiming to be DHL. Especially if they ask to pay “customs” or “import charges”.
DHL advises their customers to be wary of any of the following:
- SMS scams often include a shortened URL, such as https://bit.ly/, to obfuscate the final destination of the link.
- The sender number is not visible, instead a generic name like “Delivery” is found.
- Phone numbers start with a country prefix other than the expected region (eg +235).
If your text message contains any of the above, DHL recommends that you take a screenshot of the suspicious text message and send it to [email protected]including suspicious phone numbers in the message.
How do I know when my DHL package has arrived?
You can use DHL’s Track Your Package page to see where your package is at any time during transit.
You will need your shipment number and shipping zip code in order to check where your package is currently located. From there, you’ll know exactly when your package will arrive.
How often does DHL update tracking?
DHL’s system is automatic, which means that if your package is scanned, it will be reflected in the tracking information immediately.
So “how often” they update the information is not the issue, but when the status of your package changes.
Once your package arrives or leaves the warehouse, it will be scanned by the scanner and you will be able to see that information in the Track Package page immediately.
How reliable is DHL?
DHL Express is considered the most reliable courier company in the world. They are known as a trusted international courier company.
One of the best things about DHL is the fact that they can ship anywhere (minus some obvious restrictions like North Korea.)
Not many companies ship to every corner of the world as quickly and efficiently as DHL.
in conclusion…
DHL is the most reliable international express company in the world. Their “Bring the courier” message means the package has left the final warehouse and is currently on its way to you.
Usually, once you see the message “Working with a courier”, you can receive your package within 24 hours.
