It can be frustrating to go to a bookstore hoping to pick up your next book, only to find they’re out of stock.
That’s why I’m curious about Barnes and Nobles’ restocking day. When will Barnes and Noble restock? I looked into it and this is what I found…
When will Barnes & Noble restock?
Barnes & Noble is a large online retail store and Chain bookstore booksellers. They have more than 600 stores in the US. Each store has a unique reading community in terms of size, number of customers and reading needs. Therefore, the restocking process varies from store to store.

How long does it take for Barnes & Noble to restock online?
Barnes & Noble sells more than 155 million physical books annually through online and retail chains.they are adding and updating their online Daily inventory.
Barnes & Noble also has a distribution facility in Monroe, NJ, from which it ships inventory based on store needs.
If you work at this warehouse (and B&N often advertises for package handlers), one of your tasks will be “responsible for replenishing and supplying supplies to maintain inventory levels”.
These supplies are shipped out to fulfill individual store orders, and no store order is the same because Barnes & Noble stores are now managed locally. In other words, there is no central authority to stock stores. It also means that each store will be replenished with different books at different times.
This is why it is recommended (when you order a book online and want to pick it up in store) always Check to see if your local store actually has a copy of the book you want. If not, you can usually use the search bar to find a store that has a copy.
Does Barnes & Noble list out-of-stock items?
Barnes & Noble recommends that if a book appears in their online inventory, then it will be available Somewhere: Either at their Barnes & Noble distribution center or at one of their wholesaler warehouses in the Barnes & Noble supply chain.
If a book (or any other item) is literally “out of stock” then it won’t show up on their website at all.

Barnes & Noble often advertises books that have been “announced” but not yet published (as do most online booksellers). In this case, B&N recommends that “Titles with a future release date (based on release dates in the B&N database) can generally be “pre-ordered” on BN.com.
Pre-order means you can order the book right now, but won’t receive it until it’s released and in stock.
Also note that some Barnes & Noble merchandise is Available online only So never “restock” or “restock” at the store.
When will Barnes & Noble restock?
Every Barnes & Noble store has a comics section that can be restocked when needed. Again, this means that each B&N store will be checking inventory and restocking at a different pace.

Pokémon books and supplies are some of the most popular items Barnes & Noble sells. Every week, the B&N store relies on third-party distributors to bring in more Pokémon supplies, and times and dates vary by location.
Fans of both Pokémon and Barnes & Noble say the supply is mostly “a bit random” and “depends on demand”; some cards are more popular than others, making them harder to find.
Pokémon inventory is also affected by the usual shipping and delivery issues.
Will Barnes & Noble restock exclusive editions?
B&N Exclusive Collection Featuring books, vinyl records, hobbies and collectibles, gifts and more special items only available at Barnes & Noble. These books often include additional content, covers and/or materials not found elsewhere.
Supplementary exclusive versions depend on demand. Sometimes demand for a book (or author) suddenly spikes, usually because of some feature on social media.
When this happens, demand will exceed supply, and the release will continue to replenish inventory until all inventory is exhausted. After this, decisions about further print runs must be made at the publisher (not warehouse) level.

Here, B&N suggests that they will Hold your order for 5 days at the store of your choice. However, if you do not pick up your book within this time period, your order will be cancelled and the payment method you provided will not be charged.
