Can I return Sephora products to Kohl’s?
Kohl’s announced in December 2020 that they would form a partnership with Sephora. The partnership focuses on launching Sephora stores to replace Kohl’s’ beauty department. It has been implemented in several Kohl’s stores across the country, with plans to expand to 400 stores by 2023.
Since the store is now partnered, Sephora beauty products will be available from Kohl’s online and in-store stores. Therefore, Kohl’s also has a return policy for Sephora products purchased at Kohl’s locations.
Can I return Sephora products to Kohl’s?
You may return Sephora products to Kohl’s as long as they were purchased from a Sephora store within Kohl’s. Regular Sephora purchases outside of Kohl’s (including from Sephora.com) cannot be returned to Kohl’s or to a Sephora location within Kohl’s.

Can you return beauty products to Kohl’s?
Shopping for makeup can sometimes be a pain when you try on makeup and realize it’s not quite what you expected. Fortunately, Kohl’s has a pretty lenient policy on returning beauty products. Interestingly, even Sephora products purchased at Kohl’s can be returned under Kohl’s return policy (Sephora’s return policy is slightly stricter in most cases).
You can return beauty products to Kohl’s. According to Kohl’s return policy, “Purchases of beauty products (including Kohl’s or Sephora from Wellness Market) must be new or used and must be returned within 60 days of purchase with a valid receipt or account/bid inquiry “.
On the other hand, products purchased at regular Sephora locations (including Sephora.com) cannot be returned to Kohl’s. If you wish to return a product purchased at a regular Sephora store, you must refer to Sephora’s own return policy.
Sephora store inside Kohl’s
Since the partnership was announced in December 2020, Sephora products have been available at some Kohl’s locations in the United States. Although it hasn’t been introduced to every Kohl’s location, the store plans to have Sephora in its 400 stores by the end of 2022.
Before shopping at Kohl’s, here are a few things you should know about Sephora. The first is that the return policy differs between regular Sephora stores and Sephora stores inside Kohl’s. This has been discussed earlier in this article, but the gist of it is that returns must be handled in accordance with Kohl’s return policy, even for Sephora products purchased at Kohl’s.
Another thing to keep in mind is that you can actually sign up for a new Beauty Insider account at a Sephora location within Kohl’s. This can also be done directly from kohl’s.com. However, for the full terms and conditions of the Beauty Insider program, you must check Sephora.com.
Can I return Sephora items to Sephora within JcPenney?
Much like Kohl’s, Sephora has partnered with JcPenney to offer beauty services in JcPenney stores. However, the partnership is set to expire at the end of 2022, when JcPenney plans to launch its own beauty service to replace the Sephora service previously offered at JcPenney.
You can return Sephora merchandise to Sephora within JcPenney. However, the Sephora locations at JcPenney stores will be phased out as the contract expires at the end of 2022. If you still have a JcPenney-Sephora store near you, the return policy is the same as Sephora’s.
