The launch of this new service on Instacart enables Aldi shoppers to purchase their merchandise at stores of Aldi’s choice. This article explores the availability and cost of Aldi pickups to users and provides insight into how they work.
Is Aldi available for pickup?
Yes, Aldi offers an active pickup service called Aldi Curbside Pickup. Instacart previously handled Aldi deliveries. You can order groceries through their mobile app and they will deliver it at your parking spot.
Aldi curbside options are now available in various markets. If you’re not in the store, you can make a list of items and order them while doing other errands.
How does the Aldi Pickup work?
Ordering packages such as groceries and other items from Aldi stores has never been easier with Aldi Pickup. Shoppers can order their items through shop.aldi.us or Instacart. Placing an order through Instacart requires you to have internet access.
After signing up for Instacart, you can choose an Aldi store in your area and put your order together. You can place an order by browsing the different departments using the Aldi search tool. This search tool suggests items under a brand or genre based on your selection.
More product information, such as price details, is available in the instacart app. Click the shopping cart button after completing the item selection process. Here you can verify and confirm your items before completing your order.
Aldi may notify you if an item is missing or out of stock on the shelf. As soon as your order is ready in the store, an Aldi pickup employee will send you messages and notifications. A message notifies you to go to the store and pick your order.
Choose your pickup time
After placing your order, you can choose your pickup and time slot options immediately. Using the “go to checkout” option, go to delivery and select the pickup option.
The store location is displayed, and you’ll see available pickup times. The time could be the next two or three days, and each has a cost tag.
How much does Aldi’s curbside pickup cost?
Aldi orders vary by order size. For example, orders of $35 and above will be charged starting at $1.99. Pickup starts at $3.99 for orders $35 and under.
Customers enjoy over $35 off the cost of merchandise from Instacart express.
Shoppers will still pay $1.99 or less even after placing an order and the total amount is less than $35 due to a lack of items in inventory. Pickup orders do not involve a service fee for the order.
Can I choose to cancel my order?
Aldi stores allow you to cancel your order prior to pickup with no fees or penalties.
Cancellation is only possible before midnight. On the instacart website, log in and go to “My Account” in the “My Orders” section. Select the order you want to cancel and select “Cancel Order”.
You can cancel an Aldi pickup order at any time by contacting their Customer Service Desk on phone number 08000420800. The refund period for online orders is 14 days, but can be extended to 60 days if you are outside of their operating area.
Can they allow me to change my favorites and storage locations?
You can change your store and pickup location through Instacart prior to pickup.
Aldi staff will always notify you if any items are missing from your order and from which store you can order from.
While changes to store and pickup point options have been unavailable recently, customers looking to adjust their store and pickup location can cancel their order and place an order at a nearby store.
Can I amend my order?
Yes, Aldi customers can change and amend their order prior to pickup, but only until midnight.
You can do this online by selecting the order you want to edit. You can access it in “My Account” and select it in the “My Orders” section. Aldi doesn’t charge you when you want to adjust your order list.
Will Aldi bag my order?
Aldi always packs customers’ products into unique bags. The bag is labelled for easy identification.
Colleagues appropriately label your bag with a few letters from your first and last name and attach them to your bag. All bags will be numbered to track the entire order.
Is there a minimum limit for items per order?
There are some restrictions on the number of items a customer can order. For example, drug and health regulators prohibit customers from buying more than two packs of painkillers.
Aldi may from time to time restrict certain items to ensure that all other customers get a share.
What happens if I am late?
If you are late or unable to pick up your package, you can access your account and choose to cancel your order.
The Aldi store will not charge you for canceled orders. You can also communicate with colleagues or your shoppers to keep your order on hold until you arrive.
This earlier communication is critical because staff can extend your order without canceling it. It can also reduce your waiting time at a parking spot while waiting for your order.
