Why isn’t Amazon shipping to my PO Box
Amazon uses many independent contractors and private couriers such as UPS and Fedex to fulfill their orders. Unfortunately, these companies do not deliver to PO boxes.
If there’s an item on Amazon that you’re trying to deliver to your PO box and it doesn’t go through, then it’s likely that Amazon is using one of these shipping companies to fulfill the order.
Only USPS can deliver to PO Boxes. Amazon does work with the USPS, which is why some items can be delivered to PO boxes, but not all.
USPS charges the best price for small, lightweight items. However, UPS and Fedex offer better prices to Amazon for heavier packages. By using multiple companies, Amazon is able to take advantage of the best shipping rates they can get.
Customers can enjoy lower shipping costs, but it does cause some small inconveniences when determining which items can be delivered to your PO box.
Note: Amazon Pharmacy will not ship any medications to PO Boxes. You will need a street address to get your medication, and there is no off-site pickup available for prescription drugs.
How to Write a PO Box Address on Amazon

Just put your PO Box in the shipping address and Amazon will know to ship via USPS if possible.

Amazon Prime members can also use their PO Box to process eligible orders.
Some Amazon Prime deliveries are done through USPS, and in these cases, you are free to use your PO Box address to receive your package.
However, Amazon Prime members with PO Boxes cannot use them for release date deliveries and pre-orders. In this case, you will receive your package a little later than with a regular street address.
Sometimes, in order to fulfill an order, Amazon will downgrade shipping from their free two-day shipping to standard. So your items will be delivered to your PO Box, but not within the two days they guarantee Prime membership.
Does Amazon Fresh deliver to PO Boxes?
