How far can DoorDash deliver? (miles, times and more!)
DoorDash is one of the few delivery companies that can deliver to nearly every address in North America, including the US, Canada, and Australia.
Every day, nearly 200,000 drivers deliver for DoorDash. Food and groceries are also delivered by delivery services and, in some states, alcohol. But how far can you place an order from…?
How far can DoorDash deliver?
DoorDash has a standard delivery radius of 5 miles, but can deliver up to 30 miles. However, most deliveries will not exceed the standard 5-mile radius, and many Dashers will not accept deliveries too far.

DoorDash lets you order meals in real time and see estimated delivery times online. There is also a tracking feature on the DoorDash app that shows the ETA. You can also ask Dasher for updates on the status of your order. It is very safe to contact your Dasher using the Dasher app, and you can do so directly from the app.
DoorDash’s standard delivery radius is 5 miles, but restaurants can choose to extend the delivery distance.
Like Uber Eats, restaurants can decide whether to expand their delivery services beyond the vicinity of their facilities. Notably, delivery rates go up if restaurants allow orders to be delivered more than 5 miles away.
What is the maximum distance for DoorDash?
30 miles is the maximum distance DoorDash offers, however, this option is not available in all cities. The DoorDash algorithm evaluates various parameters to select a delivery area, including location, distance, and estimated total delivery time.
The distribution area for densely populated urban markets will be smaller than for sprawling rural markets. A major focus of DoorDash is to provide the best customer and delivery experience possible.
When partnering with DoorDash, restaurants generally prefer to deliver within a 7-mile radius of their location. Nonetheless, a merchant’s delivery schedule will affect the delivery radius.
For DoorDash drivers, most deliveries are within 4 miles. Most people don’t take orders that are too far away unless the reward is significantly higher than normal.

What does “Too Far” mean on DoorDash?
Sometimes DoorDash says the restaurant is “too far” — even if it’s only 200 feet away. This could be due to safety concerns, it could be raining heavily right now, or the restaurant has changed the delivery settings in the app.
Some customers had luck uninstalling and reinstalling the app because the message was just a bug or an app outage.
However, if you keep seeing “too far”, you cannot order from that restaurant at this time. If you’ve been able to order from them in the past, you can contact customer support and ask for more details, but an immediate fix is unlikely.
Will DoorDash deliver anywhere?
You might be able to use DoorDash in your area! DoorDash delivers to nearly 7,000 cities in the US, Canada, Australia and Japan.
Even Puerto Rico is included on this list! DoorDash is available in more than 80 cities and municipalities in Canada. DoorDash now also supports Australian cities like Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.

Are DoorDash delivery times accurate?
